Standards, policies, and terms governing the NIC Nammal app and website. Last updated: September 2026.
1. Community Standards
NIC Nammal is a community platform for Naas Indian Community members. All users must be 17 years of age or older. By using this app or website, you agree to interact respectfully and in accordance with Irish law.
This platform is provided as a service to the Naas Indian Community. We reserve the right to remove any content or suspend any user account that violates these guidelines or applicable law.
2. Zero Tolerance Policy
We have zero tolerance for:
- Objectionable, offensive, or illegal content of any kind
- Harassment, bullying, or threats directed at any person
- Hate speech or discrimination based on race, religion, gender, nationality, or any other protected characteristic
- Spam, scams, fraud, or deliberately misleading information
- Adult content, explicit material, or content unsuitable for users aged 17+
- Solicitation of illegal goods or services, including stolen goods, contraband, or controlled substances
Violations will result in immediate content removal and account ejection from the platform. Serious violations may be reported to An Garda Síochána.
3. Marketplace & Directory
Content posted in the Marketplace or Business Directory must be accurate, lawful, and relevant to the Naas Indian Community. By posting, you confirm that:
- You are the rightful owner of any items listed for sale
- All descriptions are truthful and not misleading
- Your business or service listings are genuine and active
- You are responsible for all content you submit under your contact details
Keep your delete code safe — it is your only way to request removal of your listing. NIC Nammal is not responsible for transactions conducted between users.
4. Reporting & Moderation
You can report any content you find objectionable using the Report button available on any listing in the app. You may also block content from appearing in your personal feed.
Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours and will remove content that violates these guidelines. Users who repeatedly violate community standards will be permanently ejected from the platform.
We rely on community members to help keep this platform safe. If you see something, report it.

We take all safety reports seriously and will respond within 24 hours. Where content violates Irish law, we will cooperate fully with An Garda Síochána and relevant authorities.
6. Privacy
Your contact details submitted with listings are used only to enable buyers or interested parties to reach you directly. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
By using our platform, you consent to your submitted contact details being visible to other registered users of the app for the purpose of community interaction and commerce.
We do not store payment information. All financial transactions are conducted directly between users.
7. App-Specific Terms
The NIC Nammal mobile application is available on iOS and Android. By downloading and using the app, you additionally agree to:
- Apple App Store Terms of Service (iOS users)
- Google Play Store Terms of Service (Android users)
- Not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
- Not use the app for any automated or bulk data collection
Push notifications may be sent to keep you informed of community updates. You can disable these in your device settings at any time.
8. Changes to These Terms
NIC Nammal reserves the right to update these guidelines at any time. Continued use of the app or website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
